The MINISTRY OF EDUCATION has established the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) as enshrined in the Education Act 2008, Act 778. The functions of the Board include determining of goals, aims and structure of courses at the various levels of pre-tertiary education and ensuring an inclusive and representative curriculum development process, and guide curriculum development.

Main Scope of Work:

•  Head the Secretariat and supervise work of the Deputy Executive Secretary
•  Participate in policy-making decisions
•  Generate formats, manuals, tools and instruments for the members of the syllabus panel
•  Initiate and recommend new subjects as the subjects become necessary for the educational system
•  Approve the timetable arrangements for the relevant educational institutions
•  Serve as Secretary to the Council
•  Report to the Council
•  Organise reports for the Council and the Minister

Qualification Required & Experience

Person Specification/Qualification:

•  Postgraduate qualification preferably in Education
•  Experience in a high level Management position in a large organisation for a minimum of 7 years
•  Excellent communication and organisational skills
•  Results-oriented
•  Self-motivated and innovative
•  High sense of integrity
•  Strong leadership skills

Age: Not less than 45 years old
