Job Vacancy For Facilities Manager of Operations At Stanbic Bank



The Role:
The successful candidate will be required to provide leadership, effective management, service and execution of the Facilities Management function within the Group Real Estates function.

Key Responsibilities:

•   Effective management of the facilities; coordinate and arrange third party services of maintenance contractors, suppliers and vendors
•   Direct preventive repairs and maintenance procedures and ensure buildings and equipment are well maintained and in optimal working condition
•   Ensure that facilities meet government regulations, environmental, health and security standards
•   Conduct periodic inspections of facilities, assesses problems and needs, implement improvements in operations as appropriate and ensure that the work environment is clean, secure and well maintained
•   Establish, implement and monitor Service Level Agreements/Maintenance Agreements with suppliers on all relevant services and ensure they are adhered to promptly
•   Create safety awareness, implement safety directives and train staff in Health & Safety

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A university degree in Facilities Management or related discipline (e.g. Estate Management, Land Economy, Building Technology, Architecture or Civil Engineering). A professional qualification (GIA, GIE, GhIS) will be an added advantage
•   5 years practical experience in management of real estate, ideally within the financial service sector

Skills & Abilities:

•   Strong communication, negotiation and persuasion skills (across the business)
•   Ability to listen and probe customers effectively to ensure proper understanding of needs
•   People management skills, including team building, team motivation, goal planning and optimizing team skills to deliver results
•   Strong customer focus and service orientation
•   Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and MS Project
•   Creative, analytical with good problem solving skills
•   Conflict management skills and ability to manage ambiquity
•   High emotional intelligence
•   Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategy into business plans
