Job Vacancy For Finance Analyst – Brokerage
A leading financial services group operating from Accra with operations in investment banking, securities trading and investment management, seeks to employ highly qualified professionals to fill the following position: Finance Analyst - Brokerage
Duties
• Perform brokerage sales, marketing and relationship management functions
• Assist in the development and implementation of sales and marketing initiatives and processes
• Work with institutional investors and high value clients to grow brokerage and trading activity in all the securities and financial instruments that the firm deals in
• Manage relationships with assigned institutional investors and clients in coordination with coverage and leadership teams
• Develop, nurture and cultivate new client relationships, sign up new brokerage accounts and stimulate business activity from new clients
• Provide regular information to clients on the financial markets, companies and issuers, individual securities and investment and trading opportunities
• Grow revenue through cross selling initiatives (i.e research, trading, etc)
• Help brand the firm in the securities brokerage and trading community
• Perform related duties and projects as assigned by supervisor
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of 2 years of front-office sales experience in the financial services industry
• A minimum of a first degree in finance, accounting, economics or other relevant discipline
• Should have successfully, completed the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) Securities courses and passed the examinations at all levels
Specific Skills Requirements
• Must be a people person and team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Must have strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
• Experience and superior skills in negotiating, client service and relationship management
• Knowledge of investment products (equities, fixed income, funds etc), ideally with direct experience working with institutional investors and a track record of client development and retention
• Excellent analytical skills and proficiency with investment analysis and techniques
• Must be a self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
