PATH seeks a Finance Associate to provide support to a new project in Ghana, implemented under the global MalariaCare partnership, a USAID - funded program available to support case management support to PMI focus and other countries. MalariaCare aims to achieve universal diagnosis and appropriate case management for malaria by strengthening the capacity of malaria-affected countries at all levels of the health system to provide high-quality diagnostic and treatment services for malaria and other febrile illnesses. The position reports to the MalariaCare Ghana Project Administrator.

Job Description
Based in Accra, the Finance Associate will be responsible for the following key activities:
• Assist with verification of invoices and preparation of vouchers and checks for signature.
• Prepare forms and receipts for payments (ex. consultant payment) and reimbursements (ex. travel or personal), for approval.
• Review and maintain accounting records; sort and reconcile account statements.
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of accounting data.
• Prepare financial forms (travel requests, travel advances, cash advances, etc.).
• Ensure proper authorization of all payment/reimbursement forms.
• Assist in review and tracking of vendor invoices, travel/workshop advances, and submission of expense reports.
• Assist Project Administrator in compiling monthly field office financial reports.
• Check documentation and verify accuracy of all financial forms and reports.
• Track staff charge code usage and maintain required related files.
• Assist in payroll accounting and management.
• Review bank statements and reconcile on a monthly basis.

Qualification Required & Experience
• Degree in economics, finance or accounting preferred.
• A minimum of three years of experience within similar position.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working on USAID funded projects.
Candidates must have legal authorization to work and currently reside in Ghana.
