An exciting opportunity exist for suitable candidates to join one of the market leaders in the hospitality industry as Financial Accountants.

Role:

The role holder will report to the Financial Controller (FC) and will play a key role in the transactional and operational management of the company.

Summary of Functions & Responsibilities

•   Recommend improvements and efficiencies to systems and business processes
•   Assist in the planning and coordination of year and reporting and audit process.
•   Ensure adherences with the company's taxation policies and practices.
•   Prepare weekly cash flow forecast and report to the Financial Controller and the Resident Manager the status of the company cash positions and future cash requirements.
•   Assist in managing operations of the accounts department in collaboration with the team leaders.
•   Manage inventory in line with best practice and company policies and procedures.
•   Assist in providing monthly account reconciliation's of major balance sheet accounts including fixed assets, stock, payroll, prepayments and accruals.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Bachelor's Degree in Financial Accounting plus professional qualification in ACCA, GIMA, CA
Management accounts preparation experience
•   At least two (2) years experience in a similar role with a minimum of three (3) years background experience at a three (3) star Hotel.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•   Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Excel and integrated accounts packages.
•   Knowledge of Ghana tax returns including income Tax, VAT, WHT
•   Knowledge of and experience with IFRS and Accpac Financial Accounting system
•   Experienced with hospitality accounting.
