Our client is an early stage nut processing company located in Tamale - Ghana. The company sources, processes and  markets nuts. Initially, the company will construct a processing plant and subsequently develop a value chain in the region. The company requires the services of experienced, self-driven individuals to appoint in the position of:- Financial Controller

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the finance policies of the company, financial processing and monitoring the budget on a day-to-day basic, ensuring that there are proper financial and accounting controls. More specifically the Financial Controller will be required to:-

•  Develop the accounting systems, prepare the annual budget and undertake long term financial planning
•  Manage Cash Flow forecasts, inventories and implementation of effective controls
•  Contribute to the development and execution of the Company's growth strategy, advising on the most prudent mechanisms for fiduciary management
•  Carry out treasury and financial duties (Banking & Project financial, etc)
•  Identify investment considerations that will ensure that the value of the company's assets are protected
•  Oversee investor relations
•  Ensure fraud prevention, detection, and security
•  Supervise and manage the performance of the Finance team
•  Prepare and submit regular management reports to the board

Qualification Required & Experience

The ideal candidate must

•  Have a good first in Business or Accounting and must have the following professional qualification: CPA or ACCA, CA. An MBA would be an added advantage
•  Have at least 5 years of excellent experience in a similar role in a small to medium sized company, ideally in an agro-processing company
•  Excellent credit control skills
•  Strong knowledge of financial compliance and governance requirements
•  Impeccable integrity and diligence
•  Experience in successfully managing working capital
•  Experience with project management, procurement, overseeing advisors and contractors
•  Experience in working with tax authorities and other relevant statutory bodies
•  Experience in working with ERP
