Job Vacancy For General Manager
A reputable organisation seeks to fill the General Manager vacancy position at its Head Office in Accra.
Job Purpose
• To provide overall leadership and strategic direction for staff and stakeholders, coordinate and implement all operational activities of the organisation in accordance with its goals, objectives, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative
• See to the preparation and documentation of an annual operational, manpower and financial strategy for presentation, consideration, and approval of the Board of Directors
• Supervise and ensure the day-to-day functioning of all departments of the organisation
• Providing overall leadership and direction of all departments in the achievement of their short and long-range plans in line with policies, regulations and laws of the country
• See to the holding of Annual Shareholders Meeting and reporting to it the extent of achievement of the operations and financial performance
• Serve as liaison between the Shareholders, BOD and Management
• Organise and hold regular BOD meeting in line with agreed procedures to update and take decisions on operational, management and financial matters
• Lead the implementation of the organisation's services In Ghana and other African countries
Financial
• Responsible for the preparation of an annual financial budget arid plans for submission to the BOD and or AGM for approval
• Responsible for the proper financial management of the organisation in line with internal and external established financial rnanagement procedures
• Ensure proper documentation of financial disbursement and receipts prior to approval and or authentication
• Ensure the availability of funds at all net for all operation performance and logistics
• Ensure the designing and Implementing and financial repotting mechanisms for the benefit of the ROD. Shareholders and other stakeholders
• Update and Advise the BOD on all financial matters, policies, procedures. and legislation
• Ensure that relevant financial information is processed and repotted in a regular, timely basis in accordance with laid down procedures
• Ensure that on an annual basis all financial records are audited and validated by the organisation's external auditors
• Responsible for using the available resources to Generate Revenue and increase the profitability of the business.
Quality Performance
• Responsible for establishing and setting up appropriate performance procedures in all the service areas of the organisation
• Implement routine procedures and checks necessary to ensure compliance with the organisation's standards
• Develop and initiate operational standards and methods for inspection, testing and delivering services to clients and other stakeholders
Qualification Required & Experience
Education
• MBA in Project Management, Entrepreneurship or related field.
• Must have not less than 12 years of work experience, 5 of which must be in Senior Management level
• Must be a member of a recognised professional body.
