Job Vacancy For General Mine Supervisor
Golden Star (Wassa) Limited is seeking to recruit General Mine Supervisor.
Job Purpose
• To supervise the overall day-to-day performance, co-ordination, management and maintenance of the mining shift, regarding all surface activities
Main Duties
• Manage and coordinate pit de-watering works
• Ensure regular dust suppresion within all operational and surrounding communities to meet statutory requirements
• Maintain good pit access ramps for smooth haulage
• Ensure that all excavation works are safely completed at the portals, rompad and other relevant areas
• Monitor and control dumping at the waste dump rompad and aggregate crusher to avoid brach of safety standards
• Ensure safe haulage throughout the shifts to avoid fall-offs
• Ensure all access roads are well maintained by regular grading and gravelling with the focus on sustaining downstream benefits to the mine.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering
• A minimum of 10 years experience in the mining industry
• Minimum of captain statutory certification
• Good computer skills and working knowledge in Power Point, Word, Excel, etc
• Must be holder of a valid Ghanaian Driver's license Class B or better

• Good communication (oral & written) skills
• Proven commitment and integrity in the discharge of duties
• Good report writing and analytical skills
