Job Vacancy For Head of Direct Sales At Tigo Ghana



Role Purpose

The Head of Direct Sales will be required to contribute to Tigo’s strategic goals. S(H)e will be responsible for:

•   Continually improving the present (and future) performance of Tigo;
•   Creating team spirit based on the Tigo Values;
•   Stimulating innovation and consumer focus throughout the operations;
•   Manage Tigo’s relationship with Dealers;
•   Develop distribution channels for new and existing products;
•   Grow the retail universe;
•   Manage stock within territory and
•   Coordinate all distribution and airtime sales issues.

Key Responsibilities

•   Lead the development of Events Execution Strategy and Plan to drive Acquisitions;
•   Develop and implement objectives oriented Trade Marketing plans based on Brand Priorities, Market and Shopper Insights and lead the direct sales team to achieve respective Category Market Share and Revenue Targets;
•   Develop and lead Implementation of Category specific trade marketing plans in line with channel development strategy;
•   Cascade and ensure adherence to Brand and channel standards in-trade;
•   Champion outlet executions in line with Picture of Success;
•   Develop and implement plans to drive Outlet Creation;
•   Develop and implement systems and processes to ensure optimum use of trade investments in assigned channels and or territories;
•   Develop and execute relevant Point of Sale Development Concepts to ensure dominance at the POP;
•   Pioneer and implement Trade Innovations to differentiate Trade Execution;
•   Provide S&D input in P & S development, champion P&S roll-out in S&D;
•   Collate and process trade insights into business intelligence to guide trade execution;
•   Provide Channel and Shopper insights for brand building and development;
•   Lead development of Events Execution Guidelines;
•   Lead Events Execution to drive to drive Acquisitions
•   Set goals and objectives for direct reports, monitor progress and maintain motivation
•   Manage performance of team and
•   Identify staff training and development needs and implement necessary actions

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A University degree or equivalent, preferably a degree in Business Administration/Marketing;
•   Minimum of two (2) years of managerial experience with field and operational experience preferably in an FMCG;
•   Minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience with field and operational experience for applicants without a first degree.
