Camfed Ghana is seeking to recruit motivated and dynamic individuals to support its programmes.
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Head of Finance will lead the Finance function in Camfed Ghana to drive strategic financial planning and analysis; to ensure the efficient and effective use and accountability over financial resources and the smooth operation of the Finance team and system.
Specific duties include:
• Financial Accounting: Processing income and expenditure transactions, monthly analysis of all balance sheet accounts, timely production of monthly bank reconcilitations, reviewing and processing of financial reports from partners in the field to ensure compliance with Camfed's internal financial guidelines
• Management Accounting: Developing annual and proposal budgets, producing weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports, working with other department heads to analyse variances
• Cash flow planning: Working with other heads of departments to develop monthly expenditure authorisations and producing annual and monthly cash flow forecasts
Qualification Required & Experience
Successful candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on teams and collaborate across organisational functions, an eye for accuracy and detail, an ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and flexibility to travel.
• A post graduate degree in finance/accounting
• A chartered professional qualification ACCA/CIMA
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role working in the international development sector, 5 of which should be at senior management level
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, project management and scheduling skills
