A reputable and leading Rural Bank in the Ashanti Region is seeking to recruit qualified persons to fill the following position:- Head of Internal Audit

Duties / Responsibilities

•   To carry out internal control programmes
•   To conduct investigations into all matters as may be directed by the Board of Directors and or the General Manager
•   To make recommendations for improvements in internal control procedures and programmes
•   To verify that the Bank's prime operational and accounting controls are in place and working properly
•   To monitor control findings and follow - up on remedial actions
•   To investigate frauds and irregularities and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
•   To conduct inspection at the Bank's Agencies

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Applicant must have a Degree in Accounting / Banking and Finance and /or Equivalent Professional qualification e.g. CA, ACCA, CIB
•   The person must have worked as an Internal Auditor in a Financial Insitution or in a similar environment for not less than four (4) years
•   Must be computer literate. Knowledge in T24 software shall be an added advantage
•   Must be able to work under pressure and shall report to the Board of Directors
