The Regional Manager is responsible for the management, administration and efficient operation of full service branches within his or her assigned region or hub including operations, lending, product sales, Deposit Mobilization and Investments, customer service, and security and safety in accordance with our corporate objectives. He/She will:
• Develop new deposit and loan business
• Provide a superior level of customer relations
• Promote the sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation
• Achieve individual and branch targets through new business sales, referrals and retention of account relationships
• Provide effective leadership to subbordinates through the demonstrate of a high sense of Professionalism, due skill and care and profound integrity in the management of the company's resources and performance of duties
• Authorize budgets for the branches, appraise the performance of subordinates and advice on staff development needs
• Represent the company both internally and externally at all level of business engagement - at the approval of Director - especially in issues relating to Business Development and promotion
• Assist in the review of all loan requests to ensure their viability and consistency with corporate policies which are designed to reduce the risks facing the company
• Plan, coordinating and reviewing the activities of Credit Team including initial interview procedures, information verfication procedures, loan application documentation, financial appraisal techniques, preparation of verification reports, loan monitoring, recovering procedures etc.
• Design and establish a system of operational procedures, reporting systems and internal Control procedures that will ensure the complete recording, analysis, reporting and presentation of all Credit activities undertaken by the company
• Monitor the repayment of loans by clients and in conjuction with Finance Department to ensure that the accounting system is updated with any repayments received and also of cheques dishonored
• Review and Submit weekly/monthly financial reports to the CEO on the status of Deposits portfolio
• Provide strategic leadership, training, supervision and conduct group level Monthly Performance Reviews, and supervise duties of branch and managerial staff and coordinating managerial staff coverage within his or her hub
• Responsible for attaining established region and corporate goals through active participation in sales management and officer call programs
• Any other responsibilities as maybe assigned from time to time
Qualification Required & Experience
• A very good degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance, Credit Management and a member or a recognized professional accounting body
• A masters degree will be an added advantage
• At least 6 years practical work experience at management level in a financial or banking institution
Good leadership skills, must have drive and passion to achieve, be innovative and demonstrate high level initiative and integrity
