This is a senior leadership role which requires experience in coaching direct reports and managing cross functional teams.

Purpose of role

•  To set up and implement tax strategy in relation to all internal and external business developments
•  To lead and work closely with wider GGBL senior management in implementing various tax issues

Top accountabilities

•  Thorough risk assessment of GGBL’s tax position and development of optimal strategy and communication of key issues to key stakeholders
•  Leadership and management of key relationships with GRA, external advisors and GGBL senior management in order to implement strategy.
•  Determine and implement optimal tax structures across the organization
•  Accurate, timely computation, payment and accounting for various taxes as well as resolution of all Group tax maters arising from normal course of business.

Qualifications & Experience required

•  A University Degree
•  Fully qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA or its equivalent)
•  10 years post qualification experience of leadership within a tax function in a multinational (preferred) or a tax advisory firm
•  Wide experience in taxation within Ghana/West Africa
•  Application of tax knowledge to commercial agenda
•  Experience of leading teams, coaching for high performance and influencing skills at a senior level
•  Sound judgement regarding acceptable levels of tax risk
