We are seeking to recruit an experienced professional and innovative individual with the imagination and determination to deliver world class customer service support in our technology unit.
Reporting to the Head of Technology, this role is responsible for ensuring that all Information Technology (IT) service delivery requirements are achieved. The role holder will support the Head of IT of Technology in the development and delivery of the business area's IT agenda and strategy. The role holder will also work in partnership with the business leaders on the implementation of general IT services.
Key Accountabilities:
• Develop and maintain business relationships to facilitate an awareness of future IT service requirements
• Translate business requirements to plan the resources required to provide the delivery of IT services to meet current and planned future business needs
• Review, negotiate, document and communicate IT service requirements with internal user's and IT providers
• Ensure that IT service exceptions, escalations and individual problems are resolved to client satisfaction
• Evaluate, appraise and recommend service suppliers
• Negotiate, agree and document Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and ensure IT service improvements are made against defined targets
• Monitor IT service against Service Level Agreements and ensure IT service improvements are made against defined targets
• Develop and implement change management procedures to ensure effective implementation of IT Change, including new systems, processes and procedures
• Monitor IT processes and identify weaknesses and improvements
• Coordinate and Chair IT Steering Committee/Change Advisory Board
Qualification Required & Experience
Essential Requirements:
• At least 5 years experience in IT services environment; experience of driving world class IT service delivery
• Working knowledge of Project Development techniques, specifically Prince 2
• A good first degree in IT from a recognised university. Masters degree qualifications and/or technology-related training will be an added advantage
• Customer and Supplier Relationship Management experience
• Ability to deliver IT services and changes in a safe and controlled manner
• A good understanding of change management procedures and practices
• Experience of managing a team in a technology environment
• A sound technical appreciation of IT systems and related process
