A Media organisation is seeking to recruit professional and innovative individuals with the imagination and determination to deliver a clear direction and excellent services to its customers / clients and other stakeholders as follows: Internal Audit Officer

Key Accountabilities

• The Audit Officer is responsible for organizing and executing operational and financial review of transactions
• Examines operational transactions for accuracy, validity and completeness of records and procedures for internal control to safeguard MG assets
• Ensures business activities of MG follow policies, procedures, regulations and laws
• Assist GHIA to ensure that all major risks of the company are identified, analysed and strategies to mitigate them are put in place
• Assist GHIA to reports audit findings and recommendations to mitigate risk
• Carry out any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Qualification Required & Experience

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, Commerce or related field from a recognised institution
• 3 years experience in an audit function
• Membership of a recognised professional Accountancy body, preferably ICAG, ACCA and IIA will be an added advantage

Technical Competencies / Abilities

• Knowledge of basic audit procedures
• Ability to prepare audit reports
• Ability to use audit software
• Ability to engage with different levels of the workforce
• Strong ethical values
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
