A progressive Rural Bank in the Central Region is seeking to employ qualified professionals / persons to fill the following position: Internal Auditor

Job Responsibilities

The job holder will perform the following duties

• Report to the Board through the Finance, Audit and Compliance Committees of the Board
• Perform and control full audit cycle including risk and control management over operation effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable regulations and directives
• Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
• Act as the objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legal and goal achievement
• Obtain analyse and evaluate accounting documents, previous reports, data, etc
• Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
• Maintain open communication with the board, audit committee and management
• Prepare and present reports that reflect audit reports and document process
• Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding the banking sector's regulations, best practices, techniques and performance standards
• Any other responsibilities as may be detailed by the Board

Qualification Required & Experience

• Master's Degree in Accounting/Banking & Finance / Marketing and other relevant field disciplines from a recognised university
• Professional qualification in ICA/ACCA will be an advantage
• Proven work experience as internal auditor preferably in the bank sector
• Sound indepedent judgement
• High level of professionalism and impeccable record of integrity and strong leadership and team building skills
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in Auditing practice
• Strong computer literacy skills and in-depth knowledge in the use of T24 Banking software and knowledge in IFRS
