We are looking to attract an experienced and energised IT officer to handle System's Operations management
Vendor Liaison Technical implementation of systems

Key Responsibilities

•  Acts as local project co-ordinator and/or project manager for hardware and software upgrades, country, cluster and regional •  consolidation activities and projects
•  Coordinates with hardware vendors in case of hardware failutres or upgrades
•  Manages system operation 1st line support on 24/7 coverage
•  Provides onsite support to APMT Business Units
•  Configures, installs and maintains local area network, hardware, software and telecommunication services
•  installation, modification and repair support to revelant hardware and software systems
•  Provides technical assistance and training to end users
•  installs and tests software upgrades
•  Provides Help desk functions and log on user problem troubleshooting
•  Responsible for all system security including HSSE security systems
•  Monitors and tracks all IT related assests in the terminal in conjuction with the Finance function
•  Manages and maintains back-up and disaster recovery plans and implementation
•  Prepares and maintains all System Operations procedures and documentation

Who we are looking for

•  A degree in Computer Science with related experience from the IT environment
•  MS and Cisco Certified professionals preferable
•  At least Seven (7) years of Computer Network Administration and IT Communication experience in a medium to large scale organisation
•  Must have a thorough understanding of LANWAM and server architecture for installation, administration and on -going maintenance
•  Must have a thorough understanding of MS applications, including operating systems and support system software
•  Must have a thorough understanding of networks including: protocols, RF, opticals etc
•  Must have the ability to logically manage problems of relatively high complexity
•  Must be multi-task oriented with proven ability to manage several activities stimultaneously
