A reputable state regulatory body is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and proactive IT Officer.

The officer will assist the Director (MIS) in developing a computerised system for monitoring and evaluating public procurement performance.

Specific Functions will be to assist the Director of (MIS) in the following:

• Managing Information Systems for the Institution, MDAs, MMDAs and other state institutions, operational issues and ensuring the establishment of databases for standards and prices available in Ghana and elsewhere;
• Establishing of suppliers', consultants', contractors' database in Ghana and elsewhere;
• Developing and updating list of procurement entities, members and secretaries of tender committees and tender review boards;
• Developng and providing IT and e-procurement support services;
• Developing and maintaining the Institution's website
• Maintaining the IT Infrastructure of the Institution

Qualification Required & Experience

Basic Requirements:

• Languages/Packages: VB NET, C, Firewalls & Internet Security, Dreamweaver MX
• RDMS: SQL Server, Access
• Web Development: HTML, Java, Java Scripts, XML, IIS, MS, ASP, PHP
• Exposed to webpage development & maintenance, TCP/IP systems & network administration, network security analysis & trouble shooting
• Experience in use of Web Technology Tools

Qualification:

• A minimum of First degree in Computer Science/Engineering plus 3 years experience in a similar position
