A leading producer of wines, spirits, cider and flavoured alcoholic beverages invites suitably qualified and experienced applications for the following positions based at our production plant in Accra, Ghana.

Machine Operator

The incumbent will report to the Production Controller

Key performance areas include (but are not limited to):

•  Adhering to prescribed quality standards and following standard operating procedures whilst:
1) Preparing and starting equipment
2) Operating equipment
3) Changing over equipment
4) Shutting down equipment

•  Executing effective first line maintenance
•  Executing effective production safety/housekeeping
•  Performing process control checks
•  Completing all relevant administration
•  Assisting the Production controller with breakdowns and performing stand-in duties when required
•  Participating in Mini-Business acitivities (Mission Directed Work Teams)

The successful candidate should have the following experience/skills

•  Relevant working experience within a high-speed production environment
•  Knowledge of safe working procedures
•  Strong numberical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential
•  Proven verbal and written communication skills in english
•  Ability to work under pressure
•  Must be able and willing to work flexible hours (extended hours)
•  Must be able to cope with the inherent physical demands of the position
•  Must have reliable transport to and from work.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification preferable
