A newly established, reputable, four star hotel in one of the southern regional capitals of Ghana requires the urgent services of the following:- Maintenance Manager

Job Position: Maintenance Manager Code: (H/P005)

Duties/Responsibilities

Major duties of the Maintenance Manager shall include but not limited to the following:

•   Coordinate the Hotel's Maintenance activities (gaming facilities, rooms, grounds, etc)
•   Review property-related data, such as inventories, budgets to obtain information on property status, needs, and availability
•   Request funding within budgeted limited for purchases of supplies and equipment, equipment repair and maintenance and alterations to premises
•   Prepare plans, standards and specifications for building and equipment maintenance, repair and inspection
•   Carry out repairs and maintenance work as approved and required and also based on administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and governmental regulations
•   Co-ordinate the activities of operations i.e electricity, water, transportation, etc organisation, in conjunction with operations and food and beverage managers.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A university degree in Engineering is preferred
•   Should have a minimum of 3 years of related experience or training in the hotel and hospitality sector, or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience
•   Excellent personal presentation as well as high level of written & verbal business English
•   Ability to effectively deal with internal and external guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy
•   Excellent Microsoft Office skills
