Job Vacancy For Manager Of Audit At Ghana Reinsurance Company Limited
A reputable financial institution is looking for suitably qualified persons to fill the position of - Manager Of Audit.
Job Summary:
• To manage the Internal Audit to ensure it adds value to the company
• To direct the planning and execution of audits to evaluate the company's internal control, risk management and governance processes
• To report functionally to the Board Audit Committeee and administratively to the Managing Director
Duties:
• To plan, organise and carry out the internal audit function including the preparation of a strategic audit plan, scheduling and assigning work and estimating resource needs for the audit activity
• Prepare and maintain an up-to-date audit manual for the internal audit unit
• Plan and organise work in the department and special audits required by Management and/or the Board
• Monitor and co-ordinate risk management processes and recommend effective implementation of internal control systems
• Liaise with external auditors to address current or outstanding audit issues
• Ensure that Audit operations conform to International Audit standards
• Carry out day-to-day administration of the department
Qualification Required & Experience
• A good first degree in Accounting plus professional qualification in Accounting/Auditing or Finance (eg. ICA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of five years post qualification experience, three of which must have been in a management position; OR
• A professional qualification in Accounting or a related field (e.g. ICA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of ten (10) years post graduate working experience, in Auditing, five (5) of which must have been in a management position;
• A Master's Degree in Accounting/Finance would be an added advantage
• A minimum qualification and experience in reinsurance will be an added advantage
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures
• Knowledge of basic administrative and leadership practices
• Skill in fraud and forgery prevention
• Skill in preparing detailed reports on a timely basis
• Skill in both verbal and written communication
• Skill in the use of computer hardware and software
• Must be innovative and possess good analytical skills
