ROLES
Key responsibilities and duties of the role
Marketing
• Developing and implementing all aspects of marketing strategy of WTC Accra
• Planning and coordinating activities across the full range of marketing disciplines including advertising, direct marketing, e-business, sponsorship and literature
• Evaluating customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implementing changes to marketing plan as needed
• Providing policy direction to internal and external stakeholders with respect to WTC Accra’s marketing function
• Managing and marketing of WTC Accra’s electronic billboard advertising business
• Building market position by locating, defining, developing, negotiating, and closing business deals and relationships
• Maintaining excellent knowledge and a clear understanding WTC Accra’s activities
• Liaising with WTC Accra business units, affiliated agencies, event managers, advertising and promotion executives to promote the company’s events and services
• Providing monthly financial report to show what is spent, committed and available for marketing campaigns.
Qualification Required & Experience
Essential
• Advanced degree in international trade, economics or business administration
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in international business development, marketing or consulting
Desirable
Fluency in French and other international languages

• Exceptional and an experienced sales professional, with the ability to promote events, products and services
• Passion for sales, marketing and sales planning, and meeting customer needs

• High level professionalism and ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
• Good IT skills, ability to learn and work with a bespoke database and proficiency in all relevant personal computer applications such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Attention to detail and ability to create and maintain accurate paper records.
