The Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Organization (ALCO) has benefited from a World Bank Grant IDA No H549-TG for the implementation of the Component D of the Abidjan-Lagos Trade and Transport Facilitation Project (ALTTFP). The objective of the Project is to facilitate the movement of people and goods along the coastal corridor through the reduction of the physical and non-physical barriers, and the reduction of HIV/AIDS impact on the transport and trade communities between Abidjan and Lagos

The Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Organization is seeking to recruit for the Executive Secretariat based in Cotonou; Republic of Benin qualified personal among the citizens of its member countries: Cote d' Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria,, to occupy the following position:

Position:

. Place of affectation: Executive Secretariat of ALCO/Cotonou - Benin
. Contract duration: 6 months
. Languages: French and English
. Date of Commencement: July 2012

Qualification Required & Experience

Profile and Expertise:

. Be a Statistician, demographer or be holder of a university degree in Planning or Social Sciences or Public Health
. Experience in similar position is required
. Have a minimum of 5 years working experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, management of statistical data and reporting of HIV/AIDS programs and projects
. Have at least two years of working experience with the Global Fund procedures in particular the development of quarterly reports, the development of budgeted action plans, the preparation of quarterly control missions of the LFA, etc
. Be highly competent in the use of computer software
a) Statistical and econometrics software
b) EpiInfo and SPSS, ACCESS database management system
c) Spreadsheet and Excel data management
d) Word-processing, Power Point, Internet, Outlook
. Language aptitude: French and English
. Have team spirit and initiative
. Be able to work under pressure and in multicultural environment
