A reputable rural bank in the Eastern Region is hiring Microfinance / Credit officers

Purpose

• The ideal candidate shall ensure optimum microfinance/credit administration with strict adherence to the Banks loan policy.
• He/she will evaluate credit worthiness of loan group members with the aim of increasing revenue and reducing losses to the bank.

Job Function

• Group formation and effective group management.
• Credit management, disbursement and recovery of loans
• Organization, moderating and supervision of group meetings.
• Preparation of regular field and financial reports.
• Screening credit group members and assessing their loan requirement according to
bank’s policy.

Qualification Required & Experience

• At least an HND or a 1 st Degree or its equivalent in accounting, marketing, social work, agriculture, statistics.
• A minimum of National Service/One year’s microfinance experience working with development/communication oriented program/financial institutions.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills.
• Strong people management.
• Strong public relation and community entry skills.
• Willingness to work in rural and deprived areas.
• Computer literacy skills.
