Job Description

The Monitoring and Evaluation(M&E) specialist will play a lead role in the monitoring of ongoing USAID and Gates funded programs in Accra  and Sekondi-Takoradi. This is a management positions; the ideal candidate will report to the country Director and oversee the design, implementation and monitoring of project M&E systems in accordance with the organization's standards.
Key Responsibilities

. Ensure each project has an appropriate M And E system and in collaboration with project directors develop action plans to guide implementation.
. Provide hand-on technical assistance and coaching to the organizations staff and partners to ensure M and E approaches are in-line with organizations standards of performance.
. Design and implement project M and E system assessments and provide assessment findings and recommendation reports   to the country Director and project directors.
. Contribute to the development of all proposals,providing technical input for the development of result framework M and E plans and other key M and E documents.
. Manage the CHF international GHANA M and E projects database.
. Work with project directors and partners on the incorporation of CHF M and4 E standards into on-going and new projects.
. Continuously asses methodologies and instruments for the collection,documentation and analysis of data and reporting of outcome.
. Make field trips to check on the progress of project implementation by local partners and provide on-side support where necessary.
. Provide support to conduct baseline,mild-term and end-of- term evaluations.
. Provide input to projects in the preparation of all progress reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

. A Masters' degree in social science,Development studies/planning,statistics,qualitative analysis,monitoring and evaluation for development programs or related degree.
. Previous experience in monitoring and evaluation of USAID projects(practical experience in use of USAID M&E tools,policies and guidelines is a prerequisite).
. At least 4 years experience in project monitoring and evaluation at an international project organization.
. Computer literacy in MS-Word ,MS Excel,statistical software(SPSS and database management .
.proven experience in designing and implementing a learning agenda.
. Previous M&E specialist experience or similar position will be added advantage.
