Job Vacancy For Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist At Chemonics International



Chemonics International, a U.S. based international development consulting firm, seeks a monitoring and evaluation specialist for the five year, USAID/Ghana funded Ghana Feed the Future Agriculture Support Policy project, designed to increase food security and improve nutrition and health. The project will be based in Accra, Ghana. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

•  Provide leadership and management to monitoring and evaluation activities, including assisting counterpart institutions to design, implement, and maintain performance monitoring systems for evidence-based decision-making
•  Identify issues and risks related to project implementation and adjust accordingly
•  Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with USAID, government officials, partner organizations, and international development research agencies
•  Coordinate multiple partners with varied interests and goals

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Ten years of progressively responsible experience in the area of monitoring and evaluation of international development projects
•  Master’s degree in evaluation, public policy, or a related field
•  Experience working with civil society, public sector, private sector and media
•  Experience building the communications capabilities of local organizations
•  Demonstrated supervisory experience
•  Experience in technical writing and media campaigns
•  Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation tools, approaches, and methods and experience with grant-making organizations
•  Experience working in West Africa, Ghana preferred
•  Fluent English language capability
