Job Vacancy For Officer, IT



Job Purpose

• To provide operational support in I.T for the achievement of the mandate f the organization

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises the collection of data for the development of work plan for the unit
• Facilitates the development of appropriate platform, systems and software for various departments and units of the organization
• Undertakes the development and maintenance of I.T infrastructure for the organization
• Supervises the installation and servicing of I.T equipment of the organisation
• Undertakes the maintenance an d repair of I.T equipment of the organization
• Undertakes the maintenance of database for the organization
• Collates data for the development of procedures, processes, processes, standards and guidelines for effective management and delivery of I.T services in the organization
• Supervise the collection of data for the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the unit
• Supervises and appraise the performance of subordinate staff in the unit
• Facilitate the implementation of I.T policies of the organization

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any related field from an accredited tertiary institution
• Membership of relevant professional body will be an added advantage
• A minimum of 1 year post qualification relevant work experience in a reputable organization
• Must pass a competitive selection interview

Competencies

• Good knowledge in Data Management and information technology
• Good knowledge in programming and web applications
• Good knowledge in project management
• Good knowledge in qualitative, quantitative and analytical skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Very good knowledge of I.T security standards
