Our client, a newly established stone quarry in Northern Ghana requires the services of Operator of Conveyor Belts, Crusher and Screening Plants for immediate employment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

•   Operates a conveyor or conveyor system to transfer materials to processing and loading points
•   Conducts pre-start checks and starts the machine
•   Adjusts chutes and deflectors to convey materials to proper points
•   Checks materials for proper size and composition
•   May also operate related equipment such as mixers, hoppers, scales, vibrators and pollution control devices
•   May also collect samples of materials for quality control
•   May keep records and make reports on operations
•   Operates a plant utilized for the production of construction materials such as concrete aggregate and involving crushing, screening and washing operations which may be separate or interconnected systems. On larger projects, plant capacity normally exceeds 250 tons per hour
•   Supervises other workers assisting in the operation of such plants

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Must have experience operating conveyors and conveyor systems, including aggregate production and material handling.
•   Must have significant experience operating large capacity crushing plants
•   Must be proficient with the use of computerized systems
•   Must have experience supervising other workers
