Job Vacancy For Performance Engineer (Kpone-Tema)
Our company, formed by nationals and international group of investors committed to operate and maintain power plants sustaining high standards of environmental control, safety and reliability, is seeking for a power plant project in Kpone-Tema area, to recruit individuals that wants to grow professionally and with the requisites qualifications and experience for the following position: Performance Engineer
Summary Job Responsibilities:
• Adhere to plant operational policies and procedures for production goal achievement and handle work safely.
• Evaluate power plant systems performance and provide recommendations for improvements (i.e GT and ST turbine efficiency calculations HRSG, ST and condenser cleanliness calculation, ST Iso-entrophyc efficiency calculations, major equipment equivalent operating hours)
• Analyse root causes of performance performance problems and develop appropriate technical resolutions.
• Conduct system performance and stress testing, analyse test results and suggest actions plans
• Mentor and train other performance engineers when needed
• Review and recommended improvements to existing system designs of performance efficiency
• Assist in preparation of technical documents for performance evaluation, functional specifications and requirements document.
• Develop and enforce best practices to ensure quality and productivity
• Present test results and recommendations to Managers
• Address operation team queries and concerns in a timely manner.
• Develop test scenarios and maintain test lab and environment
• Implement process improvements to ensure testing efficiency
• Recommend new hardware and software to carry out performance testing.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Graduated in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with (5) five or more years of experience in the field and (2) or more years of experience as a Performance Engineer.
• Reports to operation manager.
