The Accra Institute of Technology (AIT) is a leading PhD research institution, currently with over 200 PhD students and candidates at various stages of their research work under the auspices of the Professor Francis Allotey Graduate School of AIT. Our PhD program is offered in collaboration with the Open University of Malaysia (www.oum.edu.my) in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Education, Management.

To proceed to PhD candidature, all PhD students undergo a probational one year during which they are required to do mandatory courses and complete a comprehensive PhD Research Proposal from which they derive the preliminary chapters of their under the collective supervision of our  PhD Research Committee of senior Professors.  These preliminary chapters form the basis of the viva voce examination for progression to candidature.  PhD candidates thereafter work towards to completion of their thesis under the supervision of an assigned PhD Advisor/Supervisor. Qualification Required & Experience

AIT is on the look-out for suitable PhD Advisors/Supervisors for our PhD candidates. Currently we have PhD Advisors/Supervisors from over 17 countries including Ghana. To qualify, you must possess a PhD with over 5 years of active research work. Retired academics are also welcome
