The end of term of the current President comes to an end on 30th June, 2015, when he would be at his mandatory retirement age and would have completed his contract term.

The position of the President of Data Link Institute, Tema, will become vacant on 30th June, 2015. Applications are invited from suitable qualified persons for appointment to the position of the President,

The Position:

•   The President is accountable to the Governing Council as the academic and administrative head.
•   The President is the Chief Disciplinary Officer of the Institute, and exercises a general authority over both staff and students, subject to the statutes of the Institute.
•   The President provides leadership in achieving the strategic objectives, the vision and the mission of the Institute, with the view to promoting academic and professional excellence.
•   The President is also responsible for prudent Financial Management and Human Resource Management of the Institute.

Qualification Required & Experience

The Applicant must:

•   Must either have Ph.D degree with a minimum of three (3) years in a Senior Management position with working experience in a tertiary or analogous institute;

OR

•   A Research Master's degree with a minimum of six (6) years in a senior Management position with working experience in a tertiary or an analogous institute
•   Must include a-two (2) page statement indicating how one intends to use the period in office to address relevant issues that will ensure the achievement of the Institute's vision and mission.
•   Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven capacity to motivate, manage and direct staff
•   Must be visionary, result-oriented and able to establish rapport with industry for Academic and Professional advancement of the Institution preferably in tertiary education administration.
