Job Vacancy For Programme Manager At Gender Studies and Human Rights Documentation Centre (GSHRDC)



Duties:
The duties of the Programmes Manager include:

•  Oversee project planning and implementation,
•  Write reports and ensuring timely narrative and financial reporting to funders
•  Organize and lead consultations and meetings in the Programmes Department
•  Supervise project officers in implementing project activities
•  Conceptualize and design programme activities, project proposal writing and fund raising for project activities
•  Research and analyse women's rights issues
•  Monitor and evaluate project activities both at the national and community levels

Qualification Required & Experience

•  The successful applicant must have the ability to manage and supervise a team implementing multiple projects in the area of violence, HIV and Aids, women in leadership and safe school
•  The person must have good interpersonal, leadership, communication, advocacy problem-solving skills and should also have strong writing and analytical skills, be able to use the computer and is creative and innovative
•  Applicant must also have the ability to work within a highly versatile environment managing relationships with survivors, network partners, donors and policy makers and must demonstrate strong interest in gender equality, social justice, women's rights and empowerment issues
•  A minimum of a Masters Degree from a recognised University, preferably in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, Gender or Development Studies
•  Should have at least three years working experience in a field related to the above-mentioned areas. Experience in NGO/Project management, Resource Mobilisation and networking would definitely be advantageous
