Job Vacancy For Project Assistant At Right To Play



Right To Play is seeking highly motivated and experienced professionals for its programme. The primary function of the position is to build the capacity of coach trainers and coaches to enhance the delivery of quality sport and play activities to children and youth in the assigned project location. You are expected to facilitate the day-to-day running of the programme, planning and co-ordinating of events and activities. This position will require your full time services and the positions are located in the Northern and Upper East Regions of Ghana respectively:- Project Assistant

Duration: One year with the possibility of renewal
Reporting: The job holder will report to the Project Co-ordinator

Key Responsibilities

•  Plan with PCs to conduct regularly Cash and Child tracking visits, monitoring and evaluation of project performance (responsible for data collection, entry and analysis)
•  Liaise with PCs and Coach Trainer for the identification of training needs of Leaders
•  Assist PCs in monitoring the weekly, monthly, and annual plans for all Coach Trainers and Supervisors
•  Gather initial coach and child tracking data for entry into the project database and periodically plan and support the training of new leaders for project expansion
•  Render financial accountability for trainings, motivation of leaders and on any event undertaken
•  Participate in periodic meetings with RTP staff to assist with issues of programme development and sustainability
•  Assist with the implementation of sport and play activities during festivals, events or any other special days
•  Monitor the utilization and condition of equipment provided to Leaders for activity implementation
•  Manages motivation demands of Leaders and quality of implementation of programmes

Qualification Required & Experience

•  University degree in Development Studies or any of the Social Sciences with at least 2 years experience in Monitoring projects activities, project design and co-ordination
•  Knowledge in community entry techniques
•  Good human relations and interpersonal skills
•  Good IT skills and must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
•  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
•  Good report writing skills
•  Ability to relate effectively to people at all levels
•  Ability to facilitate a training for adult learners
•  Knowledge and experience in Child protection and rights, gender and health issues in Ghana is required
•  Develop joint activity plans with technical partners to further gender objectives and gender results of the Play to learn programmes
•  Provide guidance to the project develop a comprehensive knowledge-base on all aspects of gender by contributing to gender analysis and situational studies.
