Perseus Mining is a duet listed (Australia, Toronto) gold miner and explorer focused on the West African region. Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited (PMGL) has recently commissioned the world-class Edikan gold project in the Western Region of Ghana. Edikan Gold Mine (EGM) has a current mining reserve of 3.3M oz of gold from a resource base of 4.3M oz. The Edikan processing facility has been designed as a 5.5Mtpa processing facility with the ability to expand this to 8Mtpa in the future. The plant is capable of producing at a rate of 220-270,000oz gold

Description Of Job

The Project Engineer, reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, will be responsible for projects in the processing plant debottlenecking/expansion on behalf of the Processing and Maintenance Departments at the Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited, located near Ayanfuri.

The responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:-

•  Demonstrated sound project delivery experience within a mineral processing environment or similar
•  Ensure personal and team compliance with statutory acts and regulations, the Ghanaian Mining regulations and all site safety policies and procedures;
•  A sound knowledge of both mechanical and electrical disciplines;
•  Management of contractors and resources as per project schedule;
•  Liaise with other departments, suppliers and contractors;
•  Excellent communication, planning and co-ordination skills;
•  Maintain sound ethical standards;

The position is site based and the Company offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the candidates' qualifications and experience.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  The successful applicant must possess degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 5-10 years work experience as Project Engineer in a mineral processing Industry
•  Knowledge of Microsoft project, Microsoft Office, and Pronto will be an advantage
