USAID-Ghana is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to join the Democracy and Governance (DG) Team as
Project Management Specialist (Deputy Team Leader) - Democracy & Governance.
The incumbent assists the DG Office Director to oversee programmatic, administrative and financial aspects of activities in the current portfolio to ensure that project objectives are being effectively met within USAID guidelines and regulations and will provide conceptualization, design and oversight of new activities.
Salary Range: GH¢24,604 - 36,904 per annum (depending on qualification and experience)
Qualification Required & Experience
Basic Requirements:
• Completed Master's Degree in political science, international relations, development, law, business/public administration, journalism or other related field
• Five years minimum of progressively responsible professional experience in one or more of these highly preferred areas: government policy development, local governance, public accountability, elections management, civil society capacity building, anti-corruption, judicial support, rule of law, urban/rural planning or other technical governance area
• At least three years of this experience should have been working for one or more of these employers: the Government of Ghana, an international development agency, a development-oriented private sector company, or a national or international non-government organization (NGO)
The final selected candidate must obtain security and medical clearances within a reasonable period of time (USAID will provide details regarding these clearances to the selected candidate). If such clearances are not obtained within a reasonable time, any offer made may be rescinded.
