The U.S. Mission in Accra, Ghana is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of PROJECT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST - ECONOMIST in the Economic Growth Office (EGO) of USAID/Ghana. The Economist serves as the principal technical advisor to USAID/Ghana on all issues pertaining to economic policy reforms and in the areas of economic governance and agriculture development. S/he maintains up-to-date knowledge of current economic policy issues; performs in-depth analysis of macroeconomic and sectorial issues, such as fiscal, balance of payment, money and credit, external debt matters, agriculture, energy and natural resources.
Qualification Required & Experience
Education & Prior Work Experience:
• A Master’s degree in economics or related fields plus six years of progressively responsible work in applied economic research and analysis as well as economic growth program planning and implementation is required.
Salary Range: GH¢ 34,074.00 – GH¢51,113.00 p.a. (depending on qualification and
experience)
