Description Of Job

Concern Universal Ghana begins the implementation of a 30-month European Union/ACP funded Microfinance project which will start in July 2012, working across 6 districts in Brong Ahafo, Eastern and Volta Regions of Ghana. We seek suitably qualified candidates to fill the above position.

Purpose:
The Project Officer is the main central point of contact with Project beneficiaries. The PO is primarily responsible in organizing training events, managing training resources, and encouraging participation of smallholder farmers and entrepreneurs in all project activities. The PO is also responsible for maintaining relationships with project beneficiaries and other stakeholders at the districts.

Responsibilities:

. Facilitate the formation of Village Savings and Loans associations
. Facilitate relevant trainings for project beneficiaries
. Preparation of relevant reports

Job Location: Techiman, Brong Ahafo Region

Qualification Required & Experience

Key requirements:

. A Bachelors or relevant tertiary level qualification in Agriculture, Development Studies, Social Sciences or any related field
. Experience with Village Savings and Loans Schemes
