Job Vacancy For Project Secretary At Gold Fields Ghana Ltd (Tarkwa)



Position: Project Secretary - Fixed Term Contract (2 yrs)
Department: Projects (TEP 6)

Gold Fields Ghana seeks to appoint a dedicated, experienced and results-driven individual to fill the vacant position of a Project Secretary. The successful candidate will among other things be responsible for providing administrative assistance and technical expertise to support the project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Act as recording secretary in internal and external project meetings, prepare and distribute minutes and action item summaries
•  Organize and administer the day-to-day office matters and stationery supplies
•  Compose administrative correspondence and drafts (external and internal) such as memos, letters, reports, presentations, agendas, and meeting materials
•  Assist in arranging programs for in-coming and outgoing official missions, making appointments for projects stakeholders, including logistical arrangements
•  Review data and information generated by project teams and prepare information materials for briefing and review sessions
•  Establish and maintain basic project management information system using Microsoft Office Applications
•  Timely preparation and collation of time sheets and monthly reporting coordination
•  Assist in tracking project milestones and deliverables throughout its life cycle

Qualification Required & Experience

Key requirements:

•  A tertiary qualification in Business or Management Studies from a recognized institution
•  Minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar position
•  Technically competent in windows environment using Microsoft Office Applications
•  Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, decision making skills, integrity, sound judgment and respect for confidentiality
•  Possess the ability to handle multi-tasks and prioritize
•  Well-developed oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to interact with people of diverse cultures and levels
•  Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
•  Medical fitness for the position and environment
•  Valid Ghanaian driver's licence and proficiency in driving light vehicles
