Job Summary

As a Project Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and reliable land surveying services throughout various stages of our construction projects. You will collaborate with the project lead, site managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to contribute to the successful completion of projects.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Land Surveying:

• Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys using advanced surveying equipment and technology.
• Interpret survey data, analyze results, and prepare detailed reports.
• Establish control points and benchmarks for construction projects.

2. Data Collection and Analysis:

• Utilize GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments to collect accurate field data.
• Process and analyze survey data using relevant software applications.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all surveying work complies with local (Newmont) and state regulations related to land surveying.
• Obtain necessary permits and approvals for surveying activities.
• Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry best practices.

4. Surveying and Measurements:

• Conduct detailed land and construction site surveys to gather precise measurements and data.
• Use advanced surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS systems) to perform accurate site assessments.

5. Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and design plans.
• Provide surveying expertise to assist in project planning and layout.
• Ensure that construction aligns with design specifications, codes, and regulations.

6. Quality Assurance:

• Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data.
• Inspect and review site conditions to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during surveys.

7. Stakeholder Communication:

• Communicate effectively with project teams and clients to provide updates on surveying progress.
• Facilitate communication between different teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Collaborate with external surveying firms or consultants as needed.

8. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of surveys, measurements, and site conditions.
• Prepare and submit detailed survey reports, progress updates, and documentation to project stakeholders.
• Track and report on project progress related to surveying activities.

Other Duties

• Performs any other allied duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Site Manager or his designate.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of Five (5) years’ experience in land surveying, with a focus on construction projects.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels.
• Strong knowledge of surveying software applications (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Familiarity with relevant local (Newmont) and state regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.

Professional Memberships:

• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is desirable.

Working Conditions

• The role involves both office-based work and fieldwork on construction sites.
• Travel to various project locations may be required.
• The position may require working in various weather conditions and environments.
