Perseus Mining is a duet listed (Australia, Toronto) gold miner and explorer focused on the West African region. Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited (PMGL) has recently commissioned the world-class Edikan gold project in the Western Region of Ghana. Edikan Gold Mine (EGM) has a current mining reserve of 3.3M oz of gold from a resource base of 4.3M oz. The Edikan processing facility has been designed as a 5.5Mtpa processing facility with the ability to expand this to 8Mtpa in the future. The plant is capable of producing at a rate of 220-270,000oz gold

Description Of Job

Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will report to the Senior Procurement Officer and will have the following responsibilities:

•  Order goods and services at the most effective prices
•  Process requisitions and purchase orders within strict time limits
•  Review purchase requisitions and call for quotations
•  File documentation within specified time requirements
•  Complete documentation and system requirements as per purchasing procedures
•  Liaise with Logistics Officer and suppliers
•  Assist in maintaining control of back orders
•  Maintain sound ethical standards and safe working practices
•  Liaise with store personnel, end users and Accounts Department

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Must possess University degree or its equivalent in Supply Chain Processes
•  Minimum of 5 years' experience in Procurement in a Mining Environment (Maintenance knowledge will be viewed favourably)
•  Strong knowledge of Pronto will be an advantage
•  Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
•  Effective English communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills
