Job Summary

•  Under the general decision of the Chief Accountant, job holder among others will be responsible for ensuring the proper accounting of company operations, asset/liabilities, capital and loans. Monitor and follow provision on expenses

Major Accountabilities

•  Among others, will be to assist the performance of the accounting function
•  Prepare analytical reports and assist in the budgeting process
•  Post month end provisions against liabilities incurred but not invoiced and cancel against real invoice when received
•  Ensure proper coding of vouchers as well as cost centre accounting is properly captured
•  Prepare required journals for posting into the accounting system once authorised
•  Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation
•  Perform administrative duties in respect of staff supervision including annual performance appraisals of staff under his/her supervision
•  Any other related duties that may be assigned
•  Actively promote safety culture and awareness at times and ensure a safe workplace policy.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Fully qualified accountant from a recognized accounting professional body
•  Must have a minimum of not less than 3 years post qualification and functional experience
•  Proven analytical skills with high level of personal integrity
•  Must have eyes for details, good people management skills and good communicator
•  Good knowledge of MS applications, more particularly excel and other accounting softwares
•  Proficient in the preparation of financial statements, and the preparation of analytical reports for management
•  Possess drive and able to meet strict deadlines
