PharmAccess Foundation and AHME Project PharmAccess is a non-profit organisation, dedicated to affordable access to quality health care in Africa. PharmAccess is also part of the African Health Markets for Equity (AHME) partnership that works towards increasing the access of the poor to priority health services and technologies in Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana. The partnership in Ghana is constituted by four organisations. These are the International Finance Corporation (IFC, policy and regulation, demand side financing), Marie-Stopes International (MSI, social franchising), Grameen Foundation (ICT development) and PharmAccess Foundation (access to capital, quality improvement and demand side financing).
In this partnership, the focus is to implement key demand-side interventions that break the barriers to healthcare access. The demand side financing work stream in Ghana focuses on supporting the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) to increase (re)enrolment of the Q1 and Q2 population (bottom 40% of population by economic status) in the National Health Insurance Scheme and ensure sustainability of the scheme. The supply-side interventions are aimed at increasing the quality, scope and scale of health services on offer to the poor through the social franchise network of MSI. Key achievements of the partnership will be to increase coverage of priority services and technologies and foster stronger collaboration between the private and public sectors. The end result is to achieve improved health outcomes for the poor.
To support the AHME partners in reaching this objective, PharmAccess wishes to hire an experienced professional as Quality Advisor to work directly with the leads on the supply side within the Country Team.
