Job Description:

Special Attention Project (SAP) is initiating an innovative programme to provide learning support to children with Specific Learning Difficulties (children who have problems with reading, writing, spelling, doing mathematics or paying attention). For this programme there are vacancies for Remedial Teachers, who will be posted at various schools to assess pupils, to design Individualised Education Plans and to provide support to class teachers for pupils with learning problems.

This is an exciting opportunity that includes:

•  Training on Specific Learning Difficulties (assessment and in-school support);
•  An introductory placement with a programme for out-of-school children with learning difficulties;
•  A pioneering role in designing and implementing specialised learning support at clients’ schools;

Qualification Required & Experience: Diploma in Education

•  At least one (1) year teaching experience at basic level
•  Passion for learning, teaching and the workings of the human mind
•  Commitment to make a difference to children who struggle to learn
•  Flexibility to work at various locations in and around Accra
•  Ability to work independently
•  Ability to relate well with other professionals in an advisory and supportive role;
