Job Title: Research Analyst/Survey Research Specialist

Requirements

•   Perform highly skilled professional work in the design of research projects, identify data sources, extract, analyze and document data, draw sound conclusions, communicate results, provide technical and end-user support for all aspects of research projects.
•   He/she has knowledge of all phases of complex research projects including research design, baseline studies, selecting and utilizing appropriate methodologies, creating or identifying databases, analyzing data, highlighting key findings and communicating implications, all with minimum supervision. Using independent judgment responds to requests and initiates research projects when appropriate and acts as project leader on research projects and is lead worker to other classified staff.
•   Meeting with clients to negotiate and agree research projects; liaising with clients via face to face meetings, email and the telephone; preparing briefs and commissioning research.
•   Experience using statistical software including SAS or SPSS is a must.
•   Provides customized research reports, highlighting main findings and key points, and effect communicate the results to the user both orally and in writing.
•   Formulating a plan/proposal and presenting it to the client or senior management; writing and managing the distribution of surveys and questionnaires; briefing interviewers and researchers.
•   Conducting qualitative or quantitative surveys, which may involve field, interview or focus group assessments.
•   Writing detailed reports and presenting results; advising clients/senior management on how to best use research findings.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, statistics, economics or related field.

Experience:

•   Two-three years of progressively responsible experience in projects requiring statistical/analytical work.
