A reputable public organisation is seeking to recruit dynamic, self-motivated and seasoned professionals for employment in the following position:- Research & Business Development Manager

Job Summary

•   This role is to actively assist in identifying financial opportunities, evaluating its fit with the company vision, revenue growth target for long term sustainability

Key Responsibilities

•   Assist business functions to identify development initiatives
•   Support research into emerging issues that could impact on the organisation and recommend appropriate response mechanisms
•   Assist in analysing data to determine impact of business development initiaitives
•   Assist with economic research and cost analyses for the industry and related issues
•   Support industry research including qualitative and quantitative surveys as directed by Management
•   Participate in data collection exercises in collaboration with identified institutions and provide strategic advice to Management
•   Conduct market and competitive research relative to the organisation's future
•   Help in defining the strategic business goals and plan for the short / medium and long term

Qualification Required & Experience

•   University degree in Business, Commerce, Planning, Statistics, Economics.
•   A minimum of seven (7) years progressive experience in a similar role in the telecommunications industry is desirable

Relevant Skills and Abilities

•   Knowledge and experience in Economics and consumer analysis
•   Ability to conduct research using appropriate instruments and methodologies
•   Excellent writing, analytical and skills with ability to communicate technical details to lay audiences
•   Knowledge in Research based software applications
•   Ability to prepare draft on appropriate industry research findings
