The Role

• The professional will lead the economic research efforts of the economic data for use in decision making and evidence-based opinions and recommendations.
• The person will be required to provide expert views in both print and electronic media and produce quality research reports on a regular basis.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect and process economic and statistical data using methods of quantitative and qualitative analysis and modeling
• Compile, analyze, and report data, applying models and statistical techniques to explain economic phenomena, and forecast trends or patterns that could guide decisions of the advisory and fund management businesses
• Provide economic, industry, statistical, and forecast information to facilitate new business development, capital investment decisions, and determination of business strategy
• Lead and coordinate all research reports
• Provide research support to Advisory and Fund management units of the firm

Qualification Required & Experience

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance or related area from a recognized University
• Minimum work experience of 4 years in economic research
• Ability to effectively apply statistical concepts to analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Attention to detail and capable of prioritizing and delivering results with minimal supervision

Oral/written communication skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of senior management and client base
• Excellent organizational and management skills
