Role Purpose
The Retail Sales Supervisor (RSS) is responsible for managing the company’s retail sales channels in the region. He/She will develop and manage a team of retail salesmen to maximize subscriber acquisition across products and services, airtime and smartphone sales.
The RSS will take the initiative to liaise with the Retail Sales Manager to achieve strategic and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
VOICE & MFS
• You are the tigo brand! You are responsible for fixing or adding visibility materials appropriately with special reference to the Nielsen Report and Brand Funnel;
• Prepare and submit monthly itinerary on the last Friday of every (current) month;
• Prepare daily route before going out on the field/market and sending daily visitation tracker;
• Visit and Manage the portfolio of POS/IE in their area (Target: 100% POS/tigo cash per month) with special focus on constant product & process update;
• Plan and Follow sale: in partnership with dealer salesmen, provide feedback to salesman through coaching;
• Draw and map new and migrated POS on the printed map;
• Identify Market and Trade opportunities;
• Develop and grow businesses in assigned zones, circuits and regions by recruiting, training and on-boarding mobile/retail agents;
• Identify successful strategies for enhancing performance especially in areas of agents’ weak performance;
• Identifies areas viable for new agents based on customer demand and business opportunity;
• Undertakes proper Channel management whiles ensuring agents understand the value proposition of the business and commission structures;
• Monitors and audits Agents to assess their quality of customer service via visitation and processes such as mystery shopping and escalates agent issues for resolution;
• Plans, executes and feedsback BTL (Below-The-Line) activities with external agencies.
Qualification Required & Experience
• A university degree or equivalent, preferable in Business Administration/Marketing;
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a Sales and Distribution role and operation experience preferable in FMCG;
• Proficiency with IT softwares such as Microsoft Office, Distribution Management Systems, MapInfo, etc;
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written English is essential;
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Good execution and reporting skills;
• Interprets feedback from team members and converts this into an action plan;
• Highly logical & systematic, team player, independent & fast learner;
• Ability to navigate relationships with local leaders in the territories;
• Experience working in distribution networks;
• Understanding of customer service;
• Experience in trade branding and marketing and ensuring consistent branding across many Points of Sale;
• Experience in motivating people and explaining business rationale in simplified terms;
• Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
• Actively participates in (team) meetings;
• Communicates with clarity, coherence, cordiality, openness and transparency.
