The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), in partnership with the Bloombery Foundation and Union North America (UNA), is seeking to recruit dynamic and seasoned professionals for a 5-year contract employment under the Bloomberg Road Safety Initiative for the city of Accra in the following position:- Road Safety Initiative Coordinator

Position: Road Safety Initiative Coordinator

The Officer will be located in the office of AMA, Accra and shall report directly to the Chief Executive. Sole responsibility will be to coordinate all activities related to the road safety initiative project

Key Responsibilities

•   Work with the project initiative partners and consultants to develop detailed work plans with clear milestones for the city of Accra
•   Monitor and support progress towards work plan milestones
•   Serve as a focal person for AMA's interaction with UNA and other relevant project partners and stakeholders
•   Communicate regularly and report on progress of the project on monthly basis to senior officials of AMA, UNA and other relevant project partners and stakeholders
•   Troubleshoot barriers to progress of work and indentify opportunities for rapid achievement of success
•   Organise meetings of AMA's city Road safety task force every other month, compile and share reports on meetings proceedings, manage tasks and accountability process for activities directed by the City Road safety task force.
•   Serve as the communications hub between AMA and UNA
•   Manage reporting and review of monitoring data to the City Road safety task force and other relevant stakeholders
•   Serve as a Coordinator of media and social marketing campaigns in collaboration with relevant stakeholders

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Master's Degree in Transportation or Project Management
•   7 years of post-qualification experience, at least 3 of which must have been in road safety related projects
•   Government experience preferred
•   Familiarity with interpreting quantitative data analysis

Relevant Skills and Abilities

•   Familiar with Urban transportation/infrastructure
•   Familiar with road accident crash Data intepretation and analysis
•   Proficiency in English
