A newly established, reputable, four star hotel in one of the southern regional capitals of Ghana requires the urgent services of the following:- Sales Manager

Job Position: Sales Manager Code: (H/P006)

Duties/Responsibilities

Major duties of the Sales Manager shall include but not limited to the following:

•   Manages an assigned geographic sales area or product line to maximise sales revenues and meet corporate objectives
•   Establishes and manages effective programmes to compensate, coach, appraise and train sales persons.
•   Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with other
•   Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams, reviews hotel expenses and recommends economies
•   Collaborates with other managers to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A university degree in marketing or business studies is preferred
•   Should have a minimum of 3 years of related experience or training in the hotel and hospitality sector, or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience
•   Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information
•   Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales team
•   Excellent oral and written communication skills
•   Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required
