Job Vacancy For Sales Representative At YARA Ghana (Western Region)

Yara Ghana was established in 2007 to strengthen the quality and depth of input supply and related services along agricultural value chains to increase the productivity of Ghanaian farmers. We import high quality products for the cereal farmers as well as for the cocoa sector. Yara Ghana is today the market leader in fertilizers in Ghana. We have a motivated staff of approximately 40 in Accra, Tema and in the regions.

Yara Ghana is looking for a Sales Representative in Western Region to join our team to enhance sale of Yara’s solution for crops especially cocoa and being part of the team that aims to execute on a commercial strategy for the business in Ghana. The position will be based in a key cocoa area and will report to the Tropical Crop Segment Manager.

Responsibilities

•   Develop the premium offering market in the Western Region and surroundings.
•   Develop the Yara brand in the region
•   Promote the consumption of Yara special fertilizers and work with distributors.
•   Development of promotional activities of the company in the region.
•   Collaboration on the study of agronomic issues to promote new products through tutorials in major crops in the region.
•   Develop the premium offering market in Ghana and the regions.
•   Build a strong, competent agronomical-technical team.
•   Train and give support to technicians and other stakeholders on all Yara products.
•   Strategically select Demo sites and set out demonstrations.
•   Assisting to establish and follow a marketing plan.
•   Define the main priorities and follow up of the technical action plan.
•   Create marketing tools to be developed in the commercial activity.
•   Follow up on tests and trials with research and customers.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A degree in Sales/Marketing, Agronomy or its equivalent
•   Excellent commercial skills.
•   Minimum 3 years multinational working experience.
•   Excellent communication and listening skills; good interpersonal relationship skills.
•   Ability to work independently and within teams.
•   Excellent computer skills and project management capabilities.
•   Strong cocoa market background is a pre-requisite.
